Hi, there. Hello!

This week, it’s ‘Duotones’, where we’ll double up the playlist with top duets featuring a dozen and a half handpicked favorites. Duets of all kinds, in Portuguese, English, bilingual… even instrumental.

I had a lot of fun putting this show together: Gal Costa sings with Caetano Veloso and João and Astrud Gilberto team up in Portuguese (and English), too.

We pair Ivete Sangalo with Brian McKnight, Victor Fields with Claudia Vilella, plus Vanessa da Mata with Ben Harper, and a Brazilian Jazz classic from Helio Delmiro’s guitar and pianist Cesar Camargo Mariano.

There’s guitarist Lawson Rollins with Flora Purim and don’t miss special bilingual duets featuring Nina Miranda and Toco, plus Kenny Rankin with Rosa Passos.

I even “double-up” Ivan Lins: first, with Djavan and later with Brenda Russell. And we even have a beautiful MPB duet featuring Milton Nascimento with Sarah Vaughan that’s sure to spark a few Saudade memories. 18 duets from the land of Samba and Sun!

And pianist Marcos Ariel, trumpeter Till Bronner, and Soulstance bring us enough of their own music to capture the spotlight for themselves! You won’t want to miss this show; listen with a friend and you’ll fit right in!

Happy Listening,
Scott Adams
